Agnes Bompy

Press release Summer 2025

Exhibition Agnès Bompy – “Between Matter and Spirit”
From July 8 to November 30, 2025 in Rotterdam and Amsterdam

The Franco-Dutch artist Agnès Bompy is exhibiting her recent and earlier works in two iconic locations in the Netherlands: at the Alliance Française in Rotterdam and at the Keizersgrachtkerk in Amsterdam.

Two cities, two exhibitions, eight series of paintings created between 1992 and 2025, revolving around themes such as identity, time, and transmission. Agnès Bompy paints in cycles, in a fertile tension between chance and intention. Her paintings, rich in textures and symbols, invite feeling rather than understanding.
