In the series “Planets”, the “Sun”
“I painted this series between 1992 and 1994: it is not only a celestial representation, but an attempt to paint my inner experience of the cosmos.
It echoes ancient spiritual traditions (alchemy, mythology, astrology). Each planet is linked to an energy, a metal, a state of consciousness.
Spiritually, it is a search for a personal cosmogony. It’s a way to connect creation to the order of the cosmos, to give a place to each energy. As a matter of fact each planet is a symbol of a state of soul or a vital force.”

Fiat lux et fiata est lux
“Let there be light, and there was light”
The first words of God in Genesis.
From darkness, light bursts forth!
Starting from a view of the heart of our solar system, the gaze opens, allowing the eye of the unspoken to take its place.
The light radiance produced by the sun—its fiery eruptions and extreme heat—resonates in the darkness and cold that surround it.
The painting plays with darkness and light.
On a black background, a brilliant yellow subject overflowing with bright red eruptions takes shape: another star of light reflects in the observing eye that hovers above it.
Eyes meet, and the magic of exchange comes to life.
