The Couple Moon – Saturn explores the intersection of astronomical observation and astrological, human interpretation. The work brings together scientific visions of the cosmos and the symbolic narratives through which humanity has long sought to understand it.
At the center of the diptych, the Moon and Saturn are embodied as human figures, forming a couple suspended between closeness and distance. The Moon evokes sensitivity, memory, and cyclical time, while Saturn represents structure, gravity, limitation, and endurance. Their encounter suggests a fragile equilibrium between emotion and form — an ongoing negotiation rather than a resolution.
Surrounding the central figures, symbolic motifs orbit like satellites. These fragments — drawn from myth, instinct, childhood, mortality, and illumination — correspond to attributes traditionally associated with both planets. Rather than illustrating fixed meanings, they function as traces of collective imagination, reflecting how planetary forces are translated into human experience.
