A delicate meditation on transformation and transcendence.
In Bulbs and Tears of Light, blue butterflies rise above the earth—symbols of renewal and the soul’s ascent. Below, spheres of matter rest in the soil; above, they dissolve into golden orbs of light, bridging the visible and the invisible. The quiet presence of an archangel watches over this passage between life and death, earth and heaven.

Created with egg tempera and ink on a historic Rijksmuseum sketchbook page, the piece carries both the intimacy of a drawing and the depth of spiritual reflection. Presented in a handcrafted wooden frame, it invites contemplation and calm—an intimate portal between worlds.
